I'M A MOMMIE! Being a new mom has greatly inspired me to return to my vegan ways and early morning runs. True, I was the heaviest woman out there at times, but I made a lot of friends at the local events and impressed myself by running my first half marathon in November of 2008. On Feb 14, 2009 I became vegan and my running was better than I could imagine. In June of 2009, I experimented with the Raw Vegan diet. WOW! I had so much energy that could run for 45-60 minutes without stopping and still had energy. Quite interesting that June was also the month we...uh hum...conceived our first baby...ROFL! All that greenery and energy does a body good:-) But the times have changed. We had a baby (the best experience ever) but the time off has brought me to compromise my vegan values and I haven't laced up my tennis shoes for nothing except to walk Samson (our dog). So, follow me as I take this journey to a new me with nothing more than displaying "the plain truth".
